Dankie. Translation of Afrikaans paragraph follows.)
[Mrs H LAMOELA: Hon Chairperson and Minister, all the things that will be implemented for people with disabilities have now been discussed repeatedly. Are there any timeframes linked to these projects in order to reach the goals you have set with regard to people with disabilities in the workplace, and what are these goals for each department? Could you please provide us with information in this regard? Thank you.]
She hasn't even listened.
The MINISTER OF WOMEN, CHILDREN AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES: Andiyivanga kakuhle le ndawo ene-doel, yintoni i-doel? Lo matshini awusebenzi. [I did not get the part with the word "doel"; what is ``doel''? This machine is not working.] [Laughter.]
You haven't been listening!
Hon member, do you mind repeating your question?
'n AGB LID: Hoor! Hoor! (Translation of Afrikaans paragraphs follows.)
[Mrs H LAMOELA: Hon Chairperson, you know, I find it shocking to see and know that the Minister does not know how to use the listening device. This tells me that we are not taking this portfolio for women, children and people with disabilities seriously. The simple question I have asked is whether goals have been set for all these projects or the things that will be done for people with disabilities. I am asking this, because we refer to projects but we do not set timeframes for these projects, with the result that nothing is ever implemented.
Hear hear!]
The MINISTER OF WOMEN, CHILDREN AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES: Deputy Speaker, I think the hon member is actually misleading the House. The hon member must go and read the strategic plan of this department. Secondly, the hon member must read ...
Deputy Speaker! Deputy Speaker, on a point of order ... Sit down!
There's a point of order, hon Minister. Order, hon members! I don't want to feel I am bad luck when I am sitting here.
Hon Deputy Speaker, you have allowed the learned friend of your party to rule that it's unparliamentary to say that somebody is deliberately misleading this House. Now, the Minister of your party must withdraw the statement.
No, she didn't use the word "deliberately". Did she?
She didn't, Deputy Speaker, and there is no point of order.
Hon member, I didn't hear that. I heard the Minister saying the member is misleading the House. I didn't hear the word "deliberately". Did she say the word "deliberately"? [Interjections.]
