13. The Committee remains concerned at the state of the Master's Office. Members of Parliament are often approached by their constituents about the many difficulties they experience when dealing with the Master's Office. It is also disappointing that the position of Chief Master remains unfilled. A further suggestion is that the Ministry looks into the feasibility of relocating the responsibility for notarial section from the Deeds Office (which falls under the Department of Land Affairs) to the Master's Office.
