This Committee must also submit a budget review report in October, containing recommendations that will contribute to the next year's budget allocation. The report is not only quantitative but is also qualitative, as it looks past financial information to performance. It should be possible to see value in what was spent. It also requests that it is provided with monthly and quarterly spending reports. Briefings on specific identified issues will be ongoing. Where there is a strong business case, the Committee will look to see what it can do to assist the Department in obtaining additional funding.
