(1) Whether the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) is responsible to ensure the refund of the client’s costs for construction faults and repairs whenever there has been a judgement against any home builder in a magistrates court for poor quality of work; if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, what are the relevant details; (2) whether the NHBRC is responsible only when the home builder cannot pay for reasons such as bankruptcy; if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, what are the relevant details; (3) whether his department will assist clients in recovering construction and repair costs from the NHBRC as well as legal costs if the matter involved the courts; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?
