National to Local Money Matters

16 Apr 2021 (1 month ago)

Tracking the public purse can be a daunting process, right?

But what if we told you that there are ways to source information about how the National Treasury allocates money to national, provincial and local government departments to fund social programmes.

What can also get daunting is sourcing information on how municipal budgets are allocated across all 278 municipalities in the country. In this document you will also find information that also explains how municipal budgets are allocated and the reporting regulations, and where all the municipal budgeting related information can be sourced.

Hopefully this document helps demystify municipal money. Click here for more.

*The linked document was prepared by the National Treasury in collaboration with Municipal Money.
