- The total project cost was R8,423,680. - The objective of the project was to reduce the water loss by replacing all AC pipes with uPVC. - The project duration was eight months, from19 July 2010 to 25 February 2011. - The project created 54 work opportunities for local people. - Eighteen adult males, four females and 32 male youth were employed on the project. - During the project implementation there was no training conducted by service providers due to insufficient funds. - The contractor did provide training to local labourers e.g. health and safety in construction industry. - The amount paid to labourers was approximately R786,000. - Total expenditure at the time of the visit was 100%. - The project was successfully completed within six months.
