The delegation visited Grogro informal settlement and engaged with members of the community. The delegation learned that land where the community resided was privately owned. The previous owner had reportedly donated the land to the community but there was no proper documentation to confirm this. The municipality was requested to provide a comprehensive report about the land issue because it was also discovered that some residents had been residing in the area for more than five decades. They started living there as farm workers. Members of the community reported various challenges to the delegation, such as there being only one communal tap serving the whole community and that sometimes water supply would be sporadically cut off.
