Whereas the majority of countries are faced with the crisis of youth unemployment, Germany's main challenge is the aging workforce. Currently there are 41 million people employed in the country. However, the workforce is expected to decrease by 6.3 per cent in 2025, hence the growing demand for young people to get skills training.
