3.8.2 According to the Annual Report the DCS had managed to exceed most of its targets in relation to this programme. Of greatest interest to the Committee is the management of mental illness, and communicable diseases. The DCS reports that in the case of mental illness, 98,78% of those diagnosed received medical treatment. The target related to the treatment of communicable diseases, hypertension and diabetes could however not be met most likely owing to the DCS' acute nurses-shortage. 3.9 Social Reintegration programme
