(1) Whether the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has made pronouncements on the state of facilities, equipment and airspace of international airports used by South African-based aircraft; if not, how does the CAA deal with matters where these facilities do not comply with international standards; if so, (a) what has been the procedure in this regard, (b) how many such pronouncements have been made in the past five financial years for which information is available, (c) when were the pronouncements made, (d) at which airport were they directed and (e) what was the outcome in each case; (2) how are SA-based aircraft advised where foreign airports do not comply with the required standards; (3) whether SA-based aircraft are obliged to take note of such information provided by the CAA; if not, why not; if so, (a) how must they comply and (b) what are the consequences?
