(1) How many vessels have been searched in each month by the SA Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) for (a) licencing and (b) seaworthiness (i) in each (aa) harbour and (bb) port and (ii) offshore since 1 January 2012; (2) (a) how many vessels are available to patrol the coast to prevent unseaworthy vessels from entering our waters and (b) how many oil spills have been reported to his department in the (i) 2008-09, (ii) 2009-10, (iii) 2010-11, (iv) 2011-12 and (v) 2012-13 financial years; (3) whether the number of patrol vessels has been found to be adequate; (4) whether SAMSA has conducted any joint inspections with the SA Police Service regarding (a) illegal fishing, (b) customs, (c) drug trafficking, (d) human trafficking, (e) weapons smuggling, (f) tax evasion and (g) the evasion of excise duties in each month in the past 12 months; if so, how many, in each case; if not, what is the reason in each case?
