Since the inception of e-tolls on 3 December 2013, the payments to date amounted to R2.22 billion for full toll operations. It must be noted that this amount cannot be regarded as compensation directly to the toll operator since it includes amounts that are paid via the e-toll operator to other service providers that provide direct services in terms of the project.
