(1) Whether a rendition agreement is in place with Zimbabwe; if so, (a) what is the background of the agreement and (b) since what date has the agreement been implemented; if not, (2) whether (a) senior officials of the SA Police Service (SAPS) and (b) the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) have been informed of rendition between South Africa and Zimbabwe; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details; (3) whether he intends to take action against certain officers (names furnished), in terms of the Immigration Act, Act 13 of 2002, and the United Nations convention governing the treatment of illegal immigrants who have been arrested, for getting involved in the deportation of the said persons and handing them over to the Zimbabwean police, in contravention of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, (details furnished); if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, what are the relevant details; (4) whether the SAPS (a) consulted the (i) Department of Home Affairs, (ii) Zimbabwean embassy and (iii) Department of International Relations and Cooperation and (b) informed them of the exercise; if not; why not, in each case; if so, what are the relevant details in each case?
