(1) Whether there is a specified maximum period within which food samples must be analysed at the forensic chemistry laboratories (FCLs); if not, why not; if so, (a) what is the period, (b) what is the current period within which food samples are analysed at each FCL and (c) what is the backlog at each FCL; (2) whether any food samples have failed their testing in the (a) 2007-08, (b) 2008-09 and (c) 2009-10 financial years; if so, in each case, (i) which food samples, (ii) what aspects of testing did they fail, (iii) what action was taken in each case and (iv) what are the negative health implications?
