(1) Pursuant to the investigations conducted by the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) from 2010 to 2012 into serious financial irregularities in the administration of the SA Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), (a) which SABC (i) department and (ii) official is responsible for the follow-up action and subsequent disciplinary and/or criminal action and (b) has the SABC implemented a proper system to identify which SABC employees and Board members have financial interests in companies that render services to the SABC; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details in each case; (2) whether all those implicated in the investigations are being called to disciplinary hearings, regardless of their position or seniority; (3) how many of the employees who were implicated by the Auditor-General in 2009 for not declaring their interests are currently still in the employ of the SABC; (4) whether regular reports about follow-up action are tabled for consideration by the (a) SABC and (b) his department; if not, why not; if so, what amounts have been recovered by the SABC through this process; (5) whether he has found that satisfactory progress has been made in this regard; if not, what intervention does he intend to make in this regard; if so, what are the relevant details?
