(1) With reference to his reply to question 2166 on 17 September 2013, (a) what is the reason for the extended suspension period of the chief financial officer (CFO) and (b) by when will the disciplinary processes be concluded; (2) (a) what (i) was the position held by the other suspended SA Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) employee with whom the public broadcaster reached an out of court settlement and (ii) were the charges and (b) why were they withdrawn; (3) (a) who are the three other employees who are currently on suspension, (b) by when will the disciplinary processes be concluded, (c) what does the SABC management regard as a reasonable time frame for the conclusion of disciplinary processes, (d) in how many instances were disciplinary processes concluded within the time frame (i) in the 2012-13 financial year and (ii) from 1 April 2013 up to the latest specified date for which information is available, (e) did the disciplinary processes exceed the set time frames and (f) why did the disciplinary processes exceed the set time frames; (4) what is the SABC’s policy with regard to (a)(i) acting appointments, in particular with regard to the position of CFO and (ii) the maximum period to serve in an acting capacity and (b) the appointment of a person from outside of the SABC in an acting; (5) whether an SABC employee who is appointed in an acting position should have the same qualifications and experience of an employee who is appointed in a permanent post; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?
