Ms Van Zyl comes from the Eastern Cape. In 2010 she joined the Democratic Alliance upon return from the United Kingdom where she worked for 5 years. She is allocated to the New Horizon Constituency, which includes the local municipalities of Senqu and Walter Sisulu.
