That the House -
(1) notes with sadness the passing of renowned journalist and prolific writer Mandy Rossouw yesterday, 11 March 2013, at the young age of 33;
(2) further notes that Mandy Rossouw was a dedicated journalist, working as News24's international correspondent and as a political reporter at City Press and Eyewitness News;
(3) recalls that Mandy Rossouw recently featured in The Media magazine's Top 40 under 40s list;
(4) recognises that Mandy Rossouw was a Menell fellow at Duke University in North Carolina and a guest lecturer in politics and journalism at Duke and a number of South African universities;
(5) further recalls that Mandy Rossouw wrote a book titled Mangaung: Kings and Kingmakers and co-authored another entitled The World According to Julius Malema;
(6) acknowledges her tremendous contribution to South Africa's media industry; and
(7) extends its condolences to her family, friends and colleagues, and says "Hamba kahle", Mandy Rossouw.
