Deputy Speaker, I move without notice:
That the House -
1) notes that on 22 November 2012, Olga Macingwane, who was injured in a terror bombing in Worcester 16 years ago, received the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation's annual Reconciliation Award for 2011 in Cape Town;
2) acknowledges that the 53 year old Macingwane, who suffered injuries from which she still limps today, forgave the bombers, including Daniel Stephanus Coetzee, whom she has visited at a Pretoria prison in 2009; 3) recalls that the previous recipients of the annual award include former Constitutional Court Justice Albie Sachs and former chairwoman of the Electoral Commission, Brigalia Bam;
4) recognises that Macingwane, who committed to Coetzee that she will keep on praying for him, is also planning to organise the second trip so that other victims could meet him in prison; and
5) congratulates her on her well-deserved award.
Agreed to.
