Dear Portfolio Committee on Social Development,I am a qualified Social Worker who is unemployed to the fact that I am not registered with the council I think the department should scrap the registration as the requirement for employment as the social services profession until you are employed the council is allocated lots of money by the department but it is not helping the unemployed social services professionals it only makes it difficult for us by stating that we should not be employed. How can a person who only leave in a srd grant and a child social grantcan pay up to R 600 for registration it is not helping us.PLEASE REMOVE REGISTRATION AS THE REQUIREMENT FOR EMPLOYMENT
