Dear Portfolio Committee on Social Development,

I would like to be assisted in this matter. When one of a married couple denies to handover his/her documents (document she refuses to handover is her salary advice or 3 months bank statement without any valid reason) which are required in the application for old age grant of the applying spouse and this had been elevated to the Sassa office who fails to assist to give way forward to the aggrieved spouse, who must be auctioned is it the office or spouse in this situation? The applicant has reached his qualifying age of 60yrs (62yrs at present) to benefit. And for a living he has to perform partime work (piece jobs) for the day which is not even days pay for a domestic helper who works two days a week and it also depends on the availability of the piece jobs taking into consideration hours/ days to complete this job. What needs to be done by the aggrieved spouse to maintain his son snd himself so that his life and livelihood can be sustained. And some of these laws infringes the rights of have nots. Please let you as committee avoid creating MOSTERS in the communities or is this a test to his mentality by letting him engaging or doing an inappropriate action (injuring or killing his family and himself) in the liking of these dumb Sassa officials in this action will land him on the wrong side of the law. This is a forced crucification of a man who had many challenges. Is this a South Africa we wished for in1994 now tormenting it's selfess citizens? I don't think so.
