Dear Portfolio Committee on Health,

I object against the proposed mandatory prepaid healthcare services as described in the draft National Health Insurance Bill. I believe this is against the constitutional right of any South African citizen to obtain health insurance from the medical aid he/she desires. I also believe that a single National Health Insurance Fund will cause our economy to collapse with even more unemployment, higher taxes and yet another opportunity for corruption and mismanagement as is the case with almost all other state owned businesses.
