Ms Maqueen Joyce Letsoha-Mathae

Premier of the Free State

She previously served as the Free State MEC for Community Safety, Roads and Transport in March 2023. She has been involved in politics since her youth and the early days of democracy in South Africa. She first became a Member of the Provincial Legislature (MPL) in 1999.

Letsoha-Mathae is a prominent member of the ANC Women's League (ANCWL), having held several positions within the organization. She was the first Regional Secretary of the ANCWL after the unbanning of the ANC. She also served as the first Provincial Secretary of the ANCWL and as the National Fundraiser of the organization.

Letsoha-Mathae is currently a member of the ANC Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) in the Free State province
