Khumbudzo Ntshavheni holds an MBA degree from Bradford University in the United Kingdom (2008), a BA Hons in Development Studies (1999) and BA Hons in Labour Relations (1999) from the University of Johannesburg. She has a political background in the ANC Youth League, the ANC National Executive Committee, the South African Youth Congress, and the Congress of South African Students.
Ntshavheni has worked in various positions in Limpopo, including Municipal Manager of Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality, Tourism Manager: Trade and Investment, Chief Information Officer for the Department of Local Government and Housing. Ntshavheni was South Africa's youngest and first female spokesperson for the Premier of Limpopo.
She has served as a lecturer at the University of South Africa, Minister of Small Business Development, the Acting Minister in The Presidency: Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Communications and Digital Technologies. Ntshavheni has experience in strategic management, information technology, change management, communication and marketing. Ntshavheni is also the founding Director and Chairwoman of Nkho Trading.
Ms Ntshavheni was appointed Minister in the Presidency of the Republic of South Africa on the 6th of March 2023, serving until June 2024.She was reappointed on 30 June 2024.
