Mr D Kganare (COPE) stated that performance targets needed to be related to value for money. Was the Office of the Auditor General able to check whether targets were adequate?
Mr D Kganare (COPE) asked what was the rationale was for not taking the same road as England, where the OHSC was independent from the DoH.
Mr D Kganare (COPE) also agreed that it was a mistake to reject the clause, although he did not feel as strongly as Mr Motau.
