About Cassel Mathale

Mr Mathale serves as the Deputy Minister of Police and previously served as Deputy Minister of Small Business Development. He was born 23 January 1961. He completed his secondary education at Phangasasa High School in Tzaneen and continued his studies at the University of the Western Cape, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. He was the Premier of the Limpopo Province until July 2013. Mr Mathale was, in addition, appointed as the Provincial Secretary for the ANC in Limpopo and a member of the ANCYL National Executive Committee from 1996 to 1998. He has served on the Portfolio Committees on Human Settlements and Science and Technology while executing duties as the Provincial Chairperson of Limpopo for the ANC.
