Meeting report

Apologies were received from the Member, Dr MJ Cardo

The Committee adopted outstanding minutes of meeting as well as Reports prepared on oversight visits. All minutes and Reports were adopted, some with minor amendments. There was a discussion on the absence of Mr M Mabika. The Chairperson requested the members to go through the Report and spend some time on the Report. Members were satisfied with the Oversight Report and moved for the adoption of the Report.

Minutes of the Meeting held on 24th October 2017

 The Chairperson asked the members if they managed to go through the report they received the day before.

The Chairperson asked the members to spend few minutes on the report for those who did not finish reading it.                                                                                                                                                              The Chairperson asked the members to look at the amendments done on the BRRR page 1 and 2.        

Grammatical correction was made on paragraph 5, 1.                                                                      

Secretary Mr P Mbele thanked the chairperson and he said the issue of the conflict of interest was identified by the Public Service Committee  Time Frame was added to the recommendation by which the committee  expected the report.                                                                                                                                        

Mr I Pikinini (ANC) moved for the adoption of the minutes.

Mr A Cele (ANC) seconded the adoption for the minutes.

The minutes of the meeting held on the 24th of October 2017 was adopted.

Meeting of the Meeting held on the 31st October 2017

The Chairperson asked members to consider the minutes on the 31st.

Mr A Cele (ANC) asked were was Mr Mabika.

The Chairperson gave apologies on Mr Mabika.

The Chairperson gave members some time to spend on page 2.

Mr M Mbata (EFF) moved for the adoption of the minutes.

Mr S Tleane (ANC) seconded the adoption of the minutes.

The minutes of the meeting held on 31st October 2017 was adopted with amendment.

Report on the Oversight Visits in the Country.

The Chairperson gave the members 15 minutes reading time on the Report.

Punctuation error was corrected on page 3

Typing error was corrected on page 13

The Chairperson asked the members if there were happy on the findings on the Columbus Steel.

Grammatical error was noted on page 14 and it was corrected.

The Chairperson asked the members if they can move on, on the recommendation and the findings.

The Chairperson asked the member if there are satisfied with the report.

Ms C Matsimbi (ANC) moved for the adoption of the Oversight Report.                                                                                                           

Mr S Tleane (ANC) seconded the adoption of the Oversight Report.

Mr S Tleane (ANC) appreciated the quality of the report and encouraged members to move in the same direction going forward.

The Chairperson thanked members for the report well done.

Mr M Mbata (EFF) said it was his last meeting; he was going to prepare for his engagement.

The Chairperson apologized that Mr M Mbata was not going to attend any meeting and she wished him well in the future.

The Oversight Report was adopted with amendments.
