Dear Standing Committee on Finance,

We know that the youth is already faced with many challenges on their way to earning an income. Against the backdrop of the load-shedding crisis, which is exacerbating the youth unemployment crisis, the PES - the largest public employment programme - might lose funding by March 2024. We cannot let this happen.



Will you urge the Minister of Finance and the National Treasury to keep funding this programme that gives young people work experience and keeps them plugged into the economy?
