Dear Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs,
I am writing to give my input.Owning to the protracted backlog of applications at DHA,some applicant(s) made application for permit renewal whilst their passport still had a validity of 2 years at the time of application. After adjudication, most of the applications are being rejected just because of passport validity.Which is inhumane on the part of DHA because under normal circumstance the turn around time is about 8 weeks for permit renewal .
SUGGESTION:The committee should look into it if an applicant meet the requirement for any kind of visa/permit the individual should be given,and not rejected on the basis of expired passport.The adjudicators should be informed about the this issue
