Dear Portfolio Committee on Mineral Resources and Energy,

We humbly would like to make the following submissions and hope this finds you well. Our challenge is the none-accessibility of the committees work as per the reports under the department of minerals and energy, as this is depriving us of the understanding and the nature of the sector.

We strongly believe that the committee members are well aware of the mining impact on the community's and the challenges community's face on sustainable development. We are of the view that access to these reports will grant us a clear understanding of the challenges faced by the sector more so in relation to sustainable development and the impact of forums/stakeholders placing undue pressures to submit on unrealistic demands as if its the community that mandated them.

On the Just energy transition reports access is also crucial as this reports we believe also highlight the challenges and thus allowing us as the public to make meaningful contributions as and when the need arise. Without a clear understanding of the challenges always results to resisting change

We are based at Emalahleni as a community campaign and we are proactively teaching the community on various subjects as part of awareness and right to know campaign.
