I am Mr. Goliath a resident from Groendal in Franschhoek. I, as well as most of the residents from Groendal are very unhappy about the treatment we receive from the white people here in our beloved town. Decisions are being made without our knowledge about our town. We used to freely walk about our but recently we are monitored either by SAPS or white privately owned security companies. Shops have been shifted out of Franschhoek to Groendal because according to the restaurant owners, the tourist is afraid of us non-whites wandering around in town. We are under Stellenbosch Municipality without our knowledge. We are called names by certain white folks like Mr. Haywood while everything and everybody must get approval via his wife. Unemployment is high while we have the necessary are available from our own people in the form of Black-owned Security Companies but the opportunities are being withheld from us.
This is just but a drop in the ocean of the gross violation of our Constitutional Human rights and unless Your office does not interfere, I am afraid
things are going to turn out for the worst.
