Dear Portfolio Committee on Defence and Military Veterans,

It will be noted from various relevant web and FB pages that very little, if any, progess has been made with further payment of military veterans pension, since the first batch payment on 1 November 2023.

Applications were submitted as far back as April 2023 and are still outstanding.

Military veterans are left to their own devices in this regard and it would therefor be appreciated if the Committee could make enquiries on their behalf at the GPAA re the process in an attempt to expedite the payment of military veterans pension.
