Dear Portfolio Committee on Human Settlements,
I have written numerous emails to report the maladministration of the Department and nobody takes it serious or investigates so that officials can be held accountable. I've contacted the ward councillor, the Senior Management, the Provincial Minister, the National Minister, the Premier, the MP of the Constituency office, the SIU and the Presidential Hotline for more than a year now but it still continues. The Department does not follow policies and procedures when managing rental stock and need to be held accountable. Officials also do not adhere to the Code of Conduct and are violating residents human rights to dignity and equality as we are being treated badly. Many of the residents are pensioners and are living in units that are not maintained and they cannot afford to maintain it themselves. The Department do not respond to complaints and do not adhere to the Service Rights Charter. I can provide detailed information and proof, and am once again requesting an investigation of the Department
