Dear Select Committee on Education and Technology, Sports, Arts and Culture,

My name is Thobani Khowa residing from a dusty under developed town in the Northern Cape namely De Aar, a town that is destined for greatness rich with talent in different aspects, but because of disadvantaged background its hard and very challenging to prosper discouraging the youth to concentrate in their talents and turn to crime and substance abuse. In 2022 I decided to start a Non Profit Company by the name De Aar Spiritual Arts Development with the main focus of recruiting the youth, mentally and physically challenged youth to be part of this initiative but because of financial challenges and no assistance they easily lose interest. My plea to you is to request assistance for the following items.
1. Item number 1 if you can sponsor us with Tracksuits for +- 50 members with embroidery as well
2. Item number on the 21 September 2023 we are having a trip to Cape Town where we will be hosted by a very popular and experienced Organization in an invent that we will be addressing social issues like crime, child and women and abuse together with Substance to make a success of this event it depends on our presence as well which is a bit challenging as most of our members are school kids from disadvantaged backgrounds and with 99% of unemployed youth, on our side we did provide members with donations and we tried several businesses in our area for assistance but with no luck. Any form of assistance from your side regarding our request will be highly appreciated.
