Dear Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour,
I would like to adress the following issues:
122 police officers IOD are fighting their compensation for their injuries.
Documents get lost and doc must be remitted some 6 to 7 times.
Medical documents does not get read properly and dicsions get made by Compensation General practitioners overruling Specialist founding s regarding injuries or Occupational diseases.
Years past and documents get send to Employers without proof of such sending s.
NPD letters get sent without proper explainations to lay men.
Objection times get delayed due to NPD letter not reaching the member.
Years get stollen with payouts and again there must be objection s send in which take another few years to get adressed.
No criteria s get stuck too some with knee trouble get 52 % and then others with same knee injury plus loosing use of their foot added gets 19%>
Constant fight to proof PTSD.
Cases takes 25 years plus to get finalized in meantime members die or give up. Systems get changed ever so often and who gets blamed for lost info ....the members.
Moneys dont accumulated interest although if payed out members would have benefited interest if they did invest.
Compensation employees make statements on National TV which they dont abide to.
All is just false promises playing for time in hopes member dies or give up their fight.
Got proof of 122 X policemen whom got injured on duty.
Can we hold Minister of labour responsible for the financial loss members endure?
Seems like Compensation employees always on leave or lunch never Available so are their phones and e mails never answered.
This department needs urgent intervention and be brought to justice!
