Dear Portfolio Committee on Police,
My name is Kebalepile David Collins and I'm based at Mahikeng North West Province. I'm representing Kgomo Modimo Wa Gae which is an Anti Crime Community based organization that helps the police to fight Crime.
This is the second time that we escalated our concerns to the parliament as our last resort. Our first attempt was handled by the former speaker of parliament Ms Thandi Modise who referred our concerns back to North West legislature. North West legislature like all other stakeholders and leaders we approached for assistance and intervention, they just ignored and disregarded us.
We would once again request for intervention as we are affected by serious crime on a daily basis and it seems like local police, district and Province are not keen to help or do their duties. We have made all efforts that u may think of and follow all other protocol but couldn't get help. We are talking about crime such as brutal murders to women and children, theft of TVs while people are asleep, high rate of stock theft on a daily basis but no arrest made.
