Dear Select Committee on Trade and Industry, Economic Development, Small Business Development, Tourism, Employment and Labour, there is so much challenges regarding the uif and maternity challenges. When people go and apply for uif and gets your first uif payment you are being told to come back next month for your second payment but when you do go back, you are being told you only had one payment the anger and frustration as you have just wasted travelling money. One doesn't really know what's happening at the department as people are now being told come back in 5 days or come back in 15 days. People who have been on maternity leave are not even getting their money. Has the new employment equity ammended and how will it affect me because I'm coloured. Another challenge is this learnership age nightmare where a lot of people are unemployed. Can the age gap not be looked into. 18-35 it should be 18-40 which will get more people working than staying at home because of their age. Rrgards
