Dear Portfolio Committee on Social Development, I wrote a letter some few weeks ago to this Committee asking to be assisted with a unresolved challenge emanating from one the Social Development department (SASSA) district office in eMalahlenni (Witbank) Mpumalanga Province. The challenge is an Old Age Grant applicant need to be assisted for applying for old age grant benefit his spouse don't want to assist with submitting of required documents for means test. She totally refuses to handover her salary advice or bank statements so that the application can be processed and the officials fail to render a soluble action. The applicant has visited this office many times without any solution coming forth. What action must the applicant take because his spouse even abundant him leaving her son with an unemployed husband who is over 60yrs which is an eligible age for the benefit. If an old man is being frustrated by the very laws that are meant to assist him what needs to be done so that this can be at to himself. If one can look into this, this is a meer promotion of unlawful deeds of finding a person on the wrong side of the law. It is also complicit to GBV the very same Parliament says it is against. It also promotes conspiracy to ending life be it through suicide or through murder and IT is one of the causes of Domestic Violence. Some of these laws are infringing the freedom of law abiding citizens. This man is unemployeble taking into account factors such age and education some employment places consider these stopblocks. I need to be responded to and be guided by a lasting solution to this matter. WHAT MUST THE DO TO APPEASE THOSE WHO SUPPOSED TO ASSIST HIM. I don't think this is a grandstanding or futile exercise by the reputable entity which as the Parliament. Please take the Citizens or Nation into your confidence.

I thank you
