Dear Portfolio Committee on Women, Youth and People with Disabilities,

I write this saddened and disappointed at the repeated errors of the Portfolio Committee on shortlisted NYDA names to serve on the upcoming Board.

The shortlisted individuals like previously, the Committee has yet again failed to acknowledge the national geographic spread. Only less than 5 provinces are represented in the recent list excluding other provinces.

The Board sought to shortlist capable candidates which is fair enough but my observation like most young people do not believe that a thorough and intense selection mechanism was used.

The Board members will have to deal with and understand various challenges which Young people are facing across the length and breath of South Africa.

We are a unitary state with a huge gap of challenges and socioeconomic dynamics.

I humbly request that the interviews should be reran and investigating the process of selecting the Board members.
