Dear Portfolio Committee On Transport,
There have been reports of allegations of impropriety regarding the Chief Executive Officer appointment at the RAF. These allegations originate from amongst the RAF own board members and the candidate alleged to have scored the highest point to eligible for the appointment. It has been more than a year since the person who seemed to have been favoured by the alleged improprierty and recommended to be appointed has been appointed in an acting capacity. Why is the acting in the position of the CEO allowed to continue this long? Why is there no action taken to address the impropriety? why is action no taken to finalise and appoint a CEO? The lack of action clearly in favour of the person who is a beneficiary of the alleged impropriety. Where is Parliament oversight in all of this?
