Dear Portfolio Committee on Labour,

I would like to withhold my name at this stage due to the sensitivity of the matter at hand as well as the past brutal experience on the same matter.

I am a South African citizen, with more than 15 years of working experience (Customer Service, Contracts, Sales and Marketing) in one of the world leaders in global petrochemical storage companies. I am a single parent, patriarch and driver for a positive change and justice for all in the community. I aspire to be one of the global woman activist for change.

I am currently unemployed following an unfair dismissal by my former employer of 15 years, both terms combined. I have worked for the same organisation since 2006 and resigned in 2015. Recalled to go back in 2016 and I was on contract basis for nine months and was permanent employed yet again in 2017 until an unfair dismissal in 2019. My employment history as follows;

2006 - 2010 - Operations Officer
2010 - 2013 - Customer Service Representative
2013 - 2015 - Sales Officer Hay Grade 14
2015 - three months (Procurement Officer) - resigned Hay Grade 14
2016 - nine months (Assistant Commercial Manager - contract
2017 - 2019 - Demoted to Commercial Assistant - Hay Grade 13 (R3K salary cut)

Suspended without any warning. Suspended on the meeting that was meant to be my performance appraisal meeting with charges as follows;

1. Insubordination
2. Insolence (the charge being that I call my boss who is a black male uMzulu)

I hereby seek justice as I have suffered a severe abuse, bully, oppression and deformation of character and lost my job unfairly as a result of all of the above.
