Dear Portfolio Committee on International Relations and Cooperation,

Please make your voices heard and protest against Uganda and their Anti-Homosexuality Bill. As Africans, we speak about community and dignity. However, if we cannot give dignity and a sense of community to those who are different from us - then everything that is said about Africa is a lie.
People's humanity must never be a political question.
Secondly, there is a lot of development African countries must have in order to give their citizens a better standard of living. Why waste resources on killing innocent human beings who are simply living their lives?
Thirdly, it is incumbent upon the South African government to formally object to this because the human rights embedded in our Constitution and Bill of Rights are not just for South Africans to enjoy. Each and every African should enjoy the right not to be discriminated against. If South Africa does not express this, then the constitutional values we claim to hold dear are meaningless. We should fight for the rights of others, and therefore I humbly ask that South Africa takes action and formally, publicly protests the Anti-homosexuality Bill.

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Wiseman T. Zondi
