Dear Portfolio Committee On Transport,

I am a road safety activist and ambassador. For the past 10 years I have been working effortlessly alongside the department, the traffic officials, the ministers and the public. This department has seen 9 ministers since 1994 and yet it seems that this very important sphere in the economy is not taken seriously.
Unnecessary deaths make widows, widowers and orphans. The financial burden grows yearly and yet our plea is not heard.
We are not your enemies, we are not here to fight you. We are here because our families became part of the statistics on road deaths. We stood up from this devastation and are trying our utmost best to make a difference and stop other families to go through this undescribable hell.
For the past four years I have been requesting the opportunity by bring our solutions to your table, but unfortunately to no avail.
The Hon min Fikile Mbalula said in his budget speech that our country is in a carnage crisis. Is this not the time to set aside everything and bring all together to make this change.
If the tears of families for the 54 people dying on our roads per day does not cry for urgent change, we are in a real crisis.
Please allow me to present to you our possible solution to this massive loss of unnecessary life's. You have nothing to loose, only the insight of a mother who's heart was torn apart when her eldest son was killed by a drunken driver.
Allow me to take hands and assist making our roads a safer place for all.
Be blessed
Road safety greetings
