Deputy Speaker, I hereby give notice that, at the next sitting of the House, I shall move on behalf of the DA:

That the House -

1) debates the impact of leave trends in respect of ill-health, retirement on sick leave and stock-piled applications for incapacity leave on the Public Service as well as the cost to the state, which is estimated at R27 billion, and the cost of retirement due to ill health, which is a shocking R221 million; and

2) further debates the effect that this has on service delivery for South Africans.
