Notes: Note 5(i): A judge behaves in his or her professional and private life in a manner that enhances public trust in, or respect for, the judiciary and the judicial system. Note 5(ii): A judge avoids impropriety and the appearance of impropriety in all the judge's activities. Note 5(iii): A judge does not engage in conduct that is prejudicial to the effective and expeditious administration of the business of the court. Note 5(iv): Judicial conduct is to be assessed objectively through the eyes of the reasonable person.
