What is your political background? How did you come to join your political party and become an MP? I got involved with the Democratic Alliance in 2010 as a volunteer and loved it. One thing led to another and in the 2011 local elections I stood as a ward candidate, won the ward and so began my political journey as a councillor. I loved every aspect of my work both in council and the community and so in 2013 when the party invited applicants to apply for the 2014 national elections, I thought I would apply just for the experience of it all.
