a) Mozambican ordinary passport holders are exempted from Visa requirements by virtue of a bilateral agreement between South Africa and Mozambique for a period of 30 days. The Mission in Maputo is operational and under the auspices of DIRCO. Israeli ordinary passport holders are visa exempted for a period of 90 days on the same principle of a bilateral agreement between South Africa and Israel.
There is currently no active bilateral Visa agreement with both Ukraine and the Republic of Sudan. As a result of the war in these countries the Department has agreed with DIRCO and accredit the Missions in Cairo, Addis Ababa and Asmara to the Republic of Sudan and the Mission in Warsaw to Ukraine.
