Veterans:
How many personnel serving in the SA National Defence Force (a) have
been convicted of a crime in a (i) civilian court and/or (ii)
military court and (b) failed (i) junior staff courses and/or (ii)
senior staff courses (aa) in the (aaa) 2010-11, (bbb) 2011-12 and
(ccc) 2012-13 financial years and (bb) from 1 April 2013 up to the
latest specified date for which information is available? NW409E

a) (i) (aa) Convicted of a crime in civilian court:
(aaa) 2010-11 45
(bbb) 2011-12 56
(ccc) 2012-13 40
(bb) From 1 April 2013 39
a) (ii) (aa) Convicted of a crime in military court:
(aaa) 2010-11 163
(bbb) 2011-12 138
(ccc) 2012-13 120
(bb) From 1 April 2013 134
b) (i) & (ii) Joint Senior Command and Staff Programme
(aaa) In 2010-11: Four (04) learners failed, they repeated the
modules and passed in 2012.
(bbb) In 2011-12: All learners completed the program
successfully.
(ccc) In 2012-13: One learner did not complete the programme due
to family challenges, came back this year to complete outstanding
modules.
(bb) From 1 April 2013: No results. The course will end in November
2014.
