Ms Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi was national leader of the NFP and served as Deputy Minister of Science and Technology (2014 - 2019). She was born 1 February 1962. Ms kaMagwaza-Msibi was the former Mayor of Zululand District Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal. She was formerly chairperson of the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) and the IFP's candidate for Premier of KwaZulu-Natal in the 2009 general election.

On 7 May 2014, the NFP successfully contested the 2014 South African general elections by receiving 1.57% of the national votes. This outcome placed the NFP in fifth place, behind the Inkatha Freedom Party, winning 6 seats in the National Assembly. Source: wikipedia.org.
