The Chairperson conveyed apologies from the Minister and Director General and explained that although the Committee was still waiting on some people the meeting would start in the meantime.

The Chairperson said thank you to the honourable members and the visiting members of the public and adjourned the meeting.

The Chairperson asked why it was important that the treaties had to be ratified now.
